Powerful Vector Drawing Tools
With Moho Debut’s vector-based drawing tools, you can create your own characters and objects. Draw directly in Moho or import your favorite digital images and artwork to get started. Use your mouse or recreate traditional paper-drawing by using a Pen Tablet, or you can choose from a variety of customizable brush styles and pattern brushes to get the exact look and feel you want.
Timeline
With an intuitive user interface and fast access to your critical and most used tasks and tools, Moho 13 Debut’s Timeline feature controls your animation timing through Key Frames. Key Frames are a core element in creating animations and add a level of speed and organization that will impress even the most proficient animators. Get maximized, detailed control of all of your animations.
Audio Recording & Sound Effects
Let your animations speak for themselves. Record your own unique sound clips right in Moho or import existing audio files into your project. Moho Debut will automatically insert your sounds right into your timeline, where you can adjust everything from the pitch, timing, and length to fit your scene. Using the Sequencer, freely move multiple sounds along the timeline to adjust syncing. Moho supports WAV, AIFF, MP3 and M4A formats.
Automatic Lip Synching
Built-in lip-syncing in Moho 13 Debut is a huge timesaver. Add soundtracks and lip-synching to your animations by simply loading a sound file. Then Moho does the rest. Easily synchronize your characters’ lip and mouth movements to a sound file through this simple and intuitive process.
Follow Path Tool
The Follow Path tool allows any character or object to follow and bend itself along a pre-drawn path—like a snake—making all of the animation possibilities you can think up super easy to execute.
Video & Motion Tracking
Add an object to an imported video that will follow the position and rotation of another object. Simply add tracking points that identify the item on the screen you want to follow.
Finish for Web, TV, Film & Stills
Export your finished animations to popular movie formats, such as AVI, MOV and Flash (SWF export for vector-based animations) and share them with the world.
Multiple Document Support
Moho allows you to open more than one document at a time, and seamlessly switch from one tab to another.
Keyboard Shortcut Editor
Create and save your own keyboard shortcut configurations.
Multiple Shape Selection
Select multiple shapes at once. Simply hold down the shift key as you click on the shapes you want to select them. Holding in Alt and clicking on an object will deselect it from your group of shapes. You can even transfer colors to multiple shapes at once using the Eyedropper Tool!
Hiding Points and Bones
Click on the bone or point you want to hide, go up to Draw and select Hide Points (or Bones). Make changes with less screen clutter, all while keeping your hidden bones and points free from any changes you make on the timeline. This is a great way to isolate areas of your project you don't want to accidently alter.
Edit Multiple Layers Simultaneously
Select multiple layers, including layers of different types, and apply changes to multiple layers at the same time.
Variable Width Curves
With Variable Width Curves, you have control over stroke lines. Overlap and animate curves created with any stroke tool, mimicking an outlined shape, and so much more.
Brush Strokes and Multi-Brush Support
When rendering brush strokes as either a preview or rendered video file, you will see a clear image, no matter the point size of your brush. No longer will you have to deal with fuzzy or pixelated brush strokes during export! In addition to new brush types for your strokes, custom brushes can now combine images to create multiple brush images for each stroke. Simply create a sub-folder in your Moho Brush's folder, add some PNGs, and watch your new brush come to life as the images are randomly placed throughout the stroke.
Point Hiding
Your freehand drawings are the center of attention. Control points and outlines are hidden when using the Create Shape and Freehand tools. But don't worry, the points will be visible when using the Add Point or new Transform Point Tools, giving you control when you need it.
Fractional Blur
While applying a blur effect to a layer, it’s possible to use fractions to create a more subtle effect. In the past, Moho would jump from one whole number to the next when animating a blur effect. Now, when interpolating a blur on a layer, you will see a smooth transition as the effect now takes fractions into consideration. Better interpolation, better results.
